What is Water Damage Insurance Coverage?

Water-damage insurance coverage is insurance protection that is provided in most homeowners insurance policies. Water damage insurance is designed to offer the insured protection accidental or sudden water damage from such things as a damaged water heater or a burst pipe. Water damage insurance will not cover any damages occurring from lack of maintenance, like a dripping air conditioner for example. Any water damage that occurs from a flood has to be covered under flood insurance. Flood insurance is issued by the Federal Government.
