Your auto insurance policy, which is usually liability or
full coverage insurance, can include additional coverage known as comprehensive
coverage. Certain comprehensive coverage policies will include coverage for windshield repair;
others may have glass coverage as a separate option altogether. Even
though comprehensive coverage is not a requirement with most insurance providers,
77 percent of insured drivers are said to purchase comprehensive insurance coverage
in addition to liability insurance.
